Easter has come and gone and yet I find myself one week after Good Friday, still remembering what Jesus has done for me. This should be the pattern of every Christian day, shouldn’t it? Trusting in God’s sovereign plan and victory over every enemy so that nothing can separate us from His love and prepared future. Ephesians 1:11 teaches us that God conducts all things according to the council of His will. What is His will? Here’s verses 11 and 12.
Ephesians 1:11–12 (NKJV) 11In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, 12that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.
What is God’s ultimate will? That we who trusted Christ and obtained an inheritance because of God’s foreplaning, would be devoted to the praise of His glory. I spend a lot of time praising Jesus and I believe it is both the outflow and substance of my contentment that is only found in God. In other words, it is from the satisfaction that I find in Him and His hope that flows my personal praise. Easter has passed once more, but each day our sovereign God is guiding us and aiding to accomplish His purposes in our lives. Each day is filled with opportunities of eternal importance and praise. All of this is true because Jesus is still risen! May the Lord give you a sense of the eternal plan He is orchestrating for your life. This is yet another reason why we praise Him! Remember Proverbs 16:9 (NKJV) 9A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps. Thank you Lord for directing my path according to Your glorious will!
