The Will of God

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

The choices seem endless. We wake up every day facing millions of options and hardly aware of how many decisions we actually make. Take the cereal aisle for example. Hundreds of choices to consider; even decisions within choices. There are hundreds of cereals to choose from, do I want a cereal that is healthy or one that tastes good? Starbucks is no different. There are approximately 19,000 ways to have your coffee prepared! Just how many decisions do we actually make each day? Conservatively, if we made 5 per minute, that would be a staggering 5000 decisions a day! Often times we make more. How many of those decisions are Christ-like? As we pray and seek a more intimate relationship with the Lord we are constantly working to make sure that our choices are Christ-like and in line with the will of the Father in heaven. This process requires spiritual discipline, seeking the Lord through the reading of His Word, prayer, and worship. The Holy Spirit testifies to the Will of God. One way to make sure that you are in the will of God is to practice 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. The Will of God is the best possible outcome for your life!
