“The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.”
How often are we as Christians bold in our faith and testimony of Christ? What about that unique opportunity to tell someone who doesn’t know the Lord about the truth and grace available in Him? How many times do we allow the fear of man to control our actions? We have a choice dear friends. We either fear God or we fear men. A healthy fear of God is the beginning of all wisdom. (Proverbs 9:10) Isaiah learned this as he was shown the very throne of God! After that, it didn’t matter what anxiety or persecution he faced on earth. He knew how awesome and powerful God is and chose to fear and worship Him, no longer allowing other people’s opinion to control him. Our desires, thoughts, feelings, actions, and behaviors stem from our ability to follow Matthew 22:37. We are to love the Lord with all our heart, soul, and mind. When we fail to do this we are guilty of idolatry because we place ourselves before God. Once we begin to live righteously before God in humility, confession, prayer, and discipline; only then will we experience the boldness available to us. Every day we have opportunities to proclaim God’s redemptive work in our lives. Be bold!
